Defining words associated with Aurora


Aurora Borealis - Aurora Lights in the Arctic / North


Aurora Australis - Aurora Lights in the Antarctic / South


Particles - a small portion

Atoms - source of nuclear energy
Magnetic poles - Earth’s magnetic field made by swirling motions of molten iron in Earth’s outer core, the north and south magnetic poles are near the geographic poles. This is where the Aurora Lights are centered around.


Geographic poles - the South and North poles (top and bottom of the earth)


Plasma -  a cloud of protons, neutrons and electrons that have become loose so they become another bunch of atoms.


Plasma particles - Small portion/s of plasma


Gas atoms - Atoms made of gas


Oxygen - The air that we breathe in


Hydrogen - a colour and odorless highly flammable gas.


Helium - A gas like element in the sun’s atmosphere and in natural gas, that’s lighter than air.
